Pittsburgh’s Northside has nearly 5,405 vacant lots throughout the 18 Northside neighborhoods.  GTECH has been working with residents and community groups in the Northside for the past three years to turn these liabilities into community assets by helping to build gardens, parklets and playspaces.  This year we will be cruising more than 15 miles of the Northside to explore project sites with GTECH’s Green Playces, Asset Inventory Mapping Project and ReClaim Northside Ambassador Programs.

Riders will be provided refreshments by local eateries throughout the ride to refuel during the tour.  The tour will kickoff and conclude at Wigle Whiskey’s Barrelhouse (a former vacant lot) located in the Spring Garden neighborhood. The afterparty from 6 pm – 9 pm will feature live music by Carlos Barata, food trucks and whiskey!
