Donations

The most simple, but perhaps least efficient, way of fundraising for you project is by asking for donations. Donations can come from individuals, businesses, places of worship, or other organizations. Donations can be cash, checks, materials, or even labor or services.

If you are looking for funding from a business or organization, it is best if you write a formal letter describing your project and tactfully asking for a donation. For a sample letter, click here. Once the organization has agreed to donate to your project, ask them to fill out a pledge of support. For a sample pledge of support, click here.

Benefits

  • Allows nearby residents to contribute money, skills, or materials to your project
