Making Connections in Local Food

$10The Southwestern Pennsylvania Commission and the Allegheny County Conservation District invite you to join them in learning from experts how to connect with local businesses buying locally produced foods.
• Introduce small producers, rural agencies serving small businesses, and farm agencies to the requirements of businesses that purchase local food.
• Build a regional network of interested parties that allows connections across the ten-county region, a resource for more isolated communities.
• Introduce a program that is using produce “seconds” to provide both a training program for adults and provide healthy meals for students.
• Introduce other local resources (CSA and Food Enterprise Center) to people across the region.
